After 25 years we are still a family run business providing childcare across ten inspiring settings, throughout Surrey and South London.
As a business we are continually growing but remain true to our guiding principle of “The right start for under 5’s” and are delighted to have been recognised for many childcare and employment awards, most recently becoming finalists for three awards at the NMT Nursery Awards. This includes being shortlisted for the Training and Development Award.
To continue our vision and to be a leading childcare provider we need to ensure that we employ the right people to care for our children and we put in place best practices to do this. All employees across the business have a positive and flexible approach to working and we are proud of our employee values.
All employees are fully supported and empowered to be confident in everything they do and in building strong relationships with their peers. We encourage everyone to own their development, whether this be through our award-winning training programme or by offering opportunities for growth and progression. We create a culture where questions are encouraged, and learning is a key part to our success.
We are enthusiastic and enjoy taking pride in our approach to providing every child with the very best start in life. From nurturing children through the key stages in their early years of development, to ensuring that every member of our team shows a commitment to everything they do. Our staff are passionate about the roles they play and the change they can bring.
We advocate a culture where Creativity is encouraged across all our nursery settings, and like many of our children we use our colourful imaginations to bring a sense of fun within whichever role we play. We encourage individuality and confidence so we can celebrate innovative and bright ideas.
Our employees take pride in the role they play at Fennies and care for what they do. We build bonds with our children, create relationships with our families and support team members on their journey. We are committed to creating happy work environments and recognise our Fennies family.
At Fennies, we have a diverse team, which is reflective of the communities that we serve. Our parents, children and staff have many different backgrounds and beliefs. Having respect, tolerance and good manners is a requirement of all Fennies staff. Our company policy is to provide equal opportunities in all areas including recruitment, training and promotion.
Fennies is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We expect all staff, students and volunteers to share this commitment. We follow a safer recruitment policy for all positions and successful applicants will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as well as reference checks from previous employers.
