Position: Learning and Development Trainer  

Salary Banding: £30,000 – £40,000 (dependent on qualification/s and experience) 

Hours: Full time / 40 hours 

Location: Hybrid working – days from home, as well as multiple locations across the business, predominantly Epsom Central Support Office

What is a Learning and Development Trainer?  

Fennies Leading and Development Team has been created as part of our commitment to the learning and development for both the internal staff throughout Fennies and new employees. Our Leading and Development Trainer will be focused on internal professional growth at Fennies, creating and facilitating dynamic sessions that inspire and help to improve the practice of our individuals. Being passionate about Early Years and child development is essential!

What will I be doing? 

  • Bringing the Fennies culture and values to life, being an excellent role model
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise of internal and external professionals to engage and inspire the Fennies family
  • Delivery of in-person ‘Welcome to Fennies’ induction, including facilitating First Aid sessions
  • Review training; prioritising needs, arranging suitable locations and a frequency of dates to meet demand
  • Reporting on training and learner data trends 
  • Utilise varied delivery styles to drive the best engagement
  • Contribute and lead on projects, being a part of the creation of early years learning and development opportunities
  • Ensure mandatory training requirements for individual roles and responsibilities are tracked
  • Building out our offering through in-person facilitation, webinars and live streaming content as well as on-demand learning, thinking about pre and post task learning to embed practice
  • Autonomy to take the lead on projects, to help shape each learner’s career journey at Fennies, liaising with relevant stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Optional longer term coaching clients, to support reflective practice

 

What experience do I need? 

  • Be an engaging facilitator who creates an exceptional first impression 
  • A natural approach to people, building a space where individuals are comfortable to be themselves
  • Experience of managing and leading projects
  • At least three years working within the Early Years sector is preferrable
  • L3 qualification or above in teaching is preferrable
  • L3 or above Early Years qualification is preferrable
  • Experience working with apprenticeships is preferrable
  • Experience of having led training previously, training or teaching qualification is preferrable
  • Coaching qualifications is preferrable
