Steven Fenn

CEO

Steven founded Fennies Nurseries nearly 30 years ago alongside his wife Sarah. Steven is best known for driving the growth of businesses and evolving company culture within the technology industry. Now seated as Fennies CEO he devotes his time to Fennies Nurseries where he works closely with his Senior Management Team to provide an outstanding childcare and educational experience for under 5’s.

Alexia started her education at Fennies, Beech House, and went on to graduate from Newcastle University in 2016. Following this, Alexia spent 5 years in Finance, with 3 of those at Goldman Sachs. Alexia has joined Fennies to develop our internal culture, aligning our teams and values, so that as our ambitious vision for expansion continues Fennies offering remains unique within the Early Years Market.

Bradley Fenn

Head of Business Development

Bradley started his education at Fennies, St Augustines, and graduated from Nottingham University in 2019 following a year in China. Post-graduation, Bradley joined as Head of Origen Developments (sister company to Fennies) which drives the refurbishment of existing sites, as well as the acquisition and development of new sites. This relationship between Fennies and Origen ensures high internal and external specifications across all of our sites, in keeping with the Fennies brand.

Kirstie joined Fennies in 2015 as part of the recruitment team. Fast forward to today, Kirstie is our COO and draws on her experience in HR and recruitment, recognising the importance of nurturing our teams and building Fennies company culture, she continuously supports our teams to deliver the highest standard of care and education.

Head of Marketing & Sales

Christina joined Fennies as maternity cover after an eventful marketing career working in multiple industries such as diamond jewellery and real estate. Christina grew her marketing career in Dubai where she organised extravagant events at the Burj Khalifa and developed her skills within brand marketing.Christina works closely with her team to create imaginative marketing campaigns that engage and educate our children, parents and staff with a contemporary approach.

Head of Education

Rageena joined our quality team as a Regional Quality Manager, with over 11 years of experience working in nurseries and teaching children English as an additional language. She developed her role and grew into our Head of Education, holding a level 6 qualification in childcare herselfRageena now works alongside our internal education specialists to curate specific moduleand refine learning activities within our nurseries.

Jamie is an expressive and interactive facilitator who encourages a collaborative approach to learning. Previously working as a primary school teacher, this experience catapulted his interest in coaching others and Jamie moved into the Early Years sector as a professional Development Consultant. He has a keen interest in coaching others as well as being an advocate for supporting mental well-being.

Ruth is passionate about child-led play and the learning benefits that comes with it, this can be seen within Ruth’s creative teaching processes in which she actively researches new ideas for. Ruth works alongside our nursery teams within each setting, role modeling activities and ensuring best practice. Ruth is passionate about incorporating the arts within her work and sparking children’s creative spirit.

Pru plays a vital role in the management of our apprenticeship program from an operational perspective, ensuring all training is aligned with policies, procedures, Fennies values and creating an open and reflective environment. Pru works alongside learners, Nursery Managers and external partners to deliver an outstanding learning experience, helping our Apprentices develop their skills through innovative training.

Christina’s passion for early years sparked when she spent a year teaching in Madrid during her time at university. Incorporating her half Spanish and half Greek roots, Christina is passionate about inspiring the next generation to become excited about learning a new language, she achieves this by creating fun educational activities for the children at Fennies.

PE Coach

Anthony has worked in primary schools around South London for the past 5 years and was awarded the Active School Hero award for the borough of Croydon in 2020. Anthony’s goal is to inspire the next generation to be enthusiastic about their physical health and recognises that this begins within the early years. Anthony actively teaches children healthy habits that they will use throughout their whole lives and enjoys helping each individual child find a sport or activity that they enjoy.

Lisa previously worked as a primary school teacher in France and came to England to explore her passion of strengthen children’s communication skills through an additional language. As a mother of a bilingual child, Lisa implements a creative approach to her teaching methods by researching inventive new ways to enhance children’s learning experiences. Lisa is also qualified in Performing Arts and incorporates music and role play within activities!

Nasim joined our education team with over 7 years of experience teaching in nurseries, schools and football clubs in Surrey. Nasim believes that the early years is a crucial time to get children excited about sports and this shines through in his exciting PE sessions. Nasim is passionate about playing a role in supporting children’s physical development and understanding of a variety of different sports whilst having fun and learning about a healthy lifestyle.

Senior Marketing & Content Executive

Olivia joined the marketing team as a Marketing Assistant and within 2 years has grown into a Senior Marketing & Content Executive. Utilising her degree in Fashion Journalism, she creates all content from blog posts to industry articles and managing our PR efforts. Olivia draws on her family’s passion of teaching and uses this to inspire parents to start conversations around their child’s mental and physical health.

Niamh’s first role within digital marketing, she joined our team as a Junior and now has earned her tittle of Digital Marketing Executive. She has a degree in Management with Marketing and a Masters in Consumption, Culture and Marketing from Royal Holloway University. Niamh’s strategic and analytical approach lends itself to all things digital. From the creation of webpages, digital ads to monitoring measurable data and producing reports.

Danniella has a level 3 qualification in childcare and has previously worked in nurseries around Stoneleigh. Danniella draws upon her experience as a practitioner to support parents with all their nursery queries from their very first enquiry until they join Fennies.

Paige has a wealth of experience spanning nine years within customer services which cover industries such as retail and security. She is the first point of contact for our parents and supports new parents through the admissions process ensuring they are happy and comfortable when starting at nursery.

Maggie has a wealth of experience in recruitment and has previously worked for companies such as UGG. Maggie supports our candidates through the early stages of their Fennies journey, preparing them for the interview process and work trials. She also works closely with our Nursery Managers to find innovative ways to promote opportunities within each setting.

Throughout Caron’s 20 years working for Virgin Holidays, she undertook various roles such as Product & Contracting and Ecommerce, and discovered her real passion is people. This led to her to studying and completing her CIPD level 5 in Human Resources Management, Caron has jumped into her new role at Fennies and is growing and developing Fennies HR efforts.

A qualified accountant with a BSc in Information Technology and Computing, Russell studied with the open university to further his career within finance. He gained in both practice and industry by working for leading brands such as Net-a-porter. Russell has doubled the financial team within the 3 years he has been with Fennies, developing the department as the business grows.

Terrie is one of Fennies Nurseries longest standing members, being part of our team for 15 years and having over 30 years accounts experience in sales, purchase and management of accounts. She has been advising our parents on funding payments and invoicing over the years, learning new technologies to make processes easier and keeping up to date with changing funding rules.

Moving from her home country of South Africa, Elize came to the UK in 2019, with an Honours Degree in Strategic Management focusing on Accounts and Payroll. Elize joined the Fennies team with over 20 years of experience within the finance industry, having worked with multiple international companies and traveling the world!

Elaine has over 20 years of experience in banking, payroll and administration and has experience in a handful of industries including engineering, recruitment and more recently the NHS. Elaine supports the processing of the teams’ payslips and benefits whilst monitoring and analysing attendance records.

Grace joined Fennies in 2015 as a Business Administrator and grew into the role of Accounts Assistant. She has a level 3 qualification in bookkeeping and although she had a passion for numbers, she’s always looking for more ways to further her knowledge and streamline processes. Grace also has a keen interest in technology and IT, and she is often our in-house IT support.

IT Support Engineer

Daryle is always on hand to provide IT support, resolve any issues and assist in setting up new nurseries with all things technical. Daryle is passionate about IT and resolving any challenges he may face, drawing on his wealth of experience within the sector and working for several large corporations. Daryle enjoys the ever-changing environment of working within an education setting and is also a keen musician who enjoys playing the guitar and drums.

Jeff joined Fennies in 2017 and brought with him 22 years of experience in catering. Jeff is passionate about how children’s nutrition improves their overall well-being and works alongside the Early Years Nutrition Partnership (EYNP) and our Nursery Chefs to create our menus. Jeff enjoys travelling and spent six years in Asia, he was inspired by the traditional dishes there and this influence can be seen throughout our Fennies Fresh menus.

Bebe has worked for Fennies for 18 years, beginning as a Chef when we had just four nurseries. Now our Head Chef, Bebe works alongside Jeff to create delicious dishes for our children and Fennies Fresh, our meal servicewhich she prepares in our Epsom nursery kitchen every day

Mark is responsible for transporting a variety of goods and items to each of our settings and head office. He has been part of the Fennies teams since 2014 and has previously held managerial roles. Mark manages and organises Fennies stock levels and ensures safe and timely delivery is made on each trip.

Dave started his career over 10 years ago and after finishing culinary arts college, Dave began working in restaurants, hotels, and gastro bars. Originally from a family of Chefs, Dave’s first memories of cooking started at home, with a simple chicken Maryland and homemade croquette dish, the rest is history! Dave has brought this wealth of experience to help deliver the same quality to our parents through our Fennies Fresh dishes.
