Leading the early years sector since 1992
Fennies Academy has been created as part of our commitment to the learning and development for both the internal staff throughout Fennies and new employees. The academy has been designed to meet the needs of anyone looking to have a career within the childcare sector - no matter the route they want to take or the qualifications they are looking to achieve.
Empowered Minds Make Exceptional Learners
“93% of employees said that well-planned employee training programs positively affect their level of engagement”
Fennies Development Hub
We're focused on internal professional growth at Fennies. We want our practitioners to feel empowered and confident, to make every child feel like they are valued and heard. As a Fennies family, we are one big community and we are committed to supporting each other, sharing best practice and to lead our own learning. Inspiring sessions will help those who are discovering more about child development, all the way up to those looking to develop their leadership skills.
“Work placements have a number of benefits. Completing one will help you to increase your skills, expand your networks and clarify your career goals”
Fennies offer placements for those who choose to study level 1, level 2 and level 3 at local colleges as well as work experience for school students. We aim to make placements the highlight of a student’s qualification where they have the chance to gain a real insight into the challenging yet rewarding work in the childcare sector.
“100% of all our HAWK apprentices passed with distinction so far in 2022”
We currently offer level 2 and 3 Early Years Apprenticeships at Fennies. These apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity to "earn while you learn” and give the best possible insights into the world of childcare. We offer our apprentices a supportive environment to learn the necessary skills and gain valuable “hands-on” experience to succeed in the early years sector.
“81% of people who studied childhood studies are employed or in further education”
Fennies Graduate Scheme
We offer a two-year paid graduate scheme designed to give new graduates and current Fennies staff the chance to experience the whole Fennies business, training them for a successful career in their chosen area of the early years sector. This scheme is unique as it can be tailored to each candidate, dependent on their experience, qualifications and career goals.
