Fees & Funding
Pre-Registration
To secure your child’s place when one becomes available, we require a non-refundable £100 registration fee as well as a £400 deposit, which will be deducted from your first month’s fees. You can be added to a nursery waiting list free of charge.
Funding is calculated on a 38-week year (term time). Fennies operates over 51 weeks of the year, so your funding will be ‘stretched’ to cover the 52 weeks.
Only one discount can be applied to any child.
Children attending the setting full-time (Monday-Friday) receive a 10% discount.
Siblings are eligible for a 10% discount. The discount will be applied to the eldest child’s fees.
Our refer-a-friend scheme gives 10% off your and your friend’s first month’s fees.
We have limited time slots for tours (10am or 2pm daily). These are reserved for families looking to start within a 6-month period or in September (our biggest intake). For those outside of this, you can book a space at one of our open days (see our upcoming open days on our events page!).
Once a space has been offered, you will have 3 working days to complete the necessary documentation and transfer the deposit to secure your child’s place.
Where a place is not available, parents have the option to be added to our waitlist free of charge. Once a space becomes available you will be contacted to enquire if you would like to proceed with the registration process. We advise all prospective parents who are put on the waitlist to book a tour to view the nursery so that should a space become available, you can accept immediately, as spaces are allocated on a first come first serve basis. We aim to give parents as much notice as possible when a space becomes available.
To register your child with Fennies, we must receive the following 4 items:
- Completed registration form.
- Signed terms and conditions.
- £500 deposit and registration fee.
- The place will be held for 3 working days at which time all sections of the registration must be completed.
We only offer full days and children must attend a minimum of 2 days per week including a Monday or a Friday if not both. We have a limited number of funded only places available.

Funding
From September 2024, the UK government will expand childcare funding to support working families with young children by introducing 15 hours of childcare for eligible working parents of children aged 9 months and older. This significant investment aims to make childcare more affordable and accessible, ensuring high-quality early education while allowing parents greater flexibility to work. For more information on government funding please take a look at our funding booklet by clicking here.
Parents can apply for Tax-Free Childcare through the UK government website. The process involves setting up an online childcare account, where for every £8 deposited the government adds £2, up to £2,000 per year per child, or £4,000 if the child is disabled. To be eligible, parents must be working and meet income requirements. Applications can be submitted online and eligibility needs to be reconfirmed every three months. For detailed steps and to apply, visit the Tax-Free Childcare page.
Enjoy Benefits acts as a platform that enables employers to implement various employee benefits, including the popular Workplace Nursery Scheme and childcare vouchers. Through a partnership with Fennies, Enjoy Benefits offers the Workplace Nursery Scheme to employees of companies using its platform. This arrangement allows parents to pay nursery fees via salary sacrifice, resulting in significant tax savings. By using Enjoy Benefits, employees can save between 32% and 47% on their nursery costs.
