At Fennies Cheam, Worcester Road, CCTV is only installed around the exterior of the building for added security. We do not have CCTV in our rooms because we place a strong emphasis on trust and professionalism in our team. We have a thorough recruitment process to ensure we hire the best caregivers, and we believe that CCTV could undermine this trust by creating a “big brother” environment where team members are constantly monitored. Instead, we provide regular updates on your child’s activities and well-being through our Famly app, allowing you to stay informed throughout the day. Additionally, we do not permit lone working in the nursery, so there will always be at least two team members with your child at all times, ensuring their safety and security.
Yes! Fennies Cheam, Worcester Road has an amazing garden that spans across the whole nursery, giving every room free-flow access and enabling children to seamlessly transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. We place great value on the advantages of outdoor learning. It provides a canvas for their imaginations to soar and nurtures their mental well-being by offering a refreshing escape, channels their boundless energy into active play, and plays a pivotal role in their physical development.
Where a place is not available, parents have the option to be added to our waitlist free of charge. Once a space becomes available you will be contacted to enquire if you would like to proceed with the registration process. We advise all prospective parents who are put on the waitlist to book a tour to view the nursery so that should a space become available, you can accept immediately, as spaces are allocated on a first come first serve basis. We aim to give parents as much notice as possible when a space becomes available.
We do! Our Cheam nursery accepts all eligible government childcare funding schemes, including the 15 and 30 hours free childcare for working families. Our team can help you understand how to apply and how funding can be used to cover some of the nursery fees.
