Our Approach to Education

Our approach to education extends beyond teaching concepts like reading and writing before school. We are strong advocates of a holistic approach, where children thrive through effective interactions with their environment and peers, with a focus on exploration and play. 

Our INSPIRE enhancements to our approach are carefully designed not only to promote language skills but also to foster creativity and instil key life skills, including problem-solving and emotional intelligence.  

These experiences are key to closing achievement gaps and ensuring that all children have an equal chance to succeed in school and later life.

Our team of specialists empowers educators to grasp the interplay of STEM, art and well-being, seamlessly incorporating them into daily activities to keep children intellectually stimulated and never bored. Recognising the importance of combined nursery and home learning, we tailor education to each child's needs, fostering holistic understanding and critical thinking in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

We build strong connections among children, key carers and families right from the start. We focus on what children can do and what they are energised by to tailor experiences to support their individual goals Through this approach, children actively participate in activities that push their boundaries, keeping them motivated to learn in an environment where they are constantly challenged and engaged.

Physical health and well-being are nurtured through our targeted PE sessions, where your child will learn new skills and receive education on nutrition. By prioritising social and emotional well-being, all children are offered opportunities to develop empathy, resilience, and self-awareness. We consistently emphasise communication skills, incorporate mindfulness practices, and facilitate group activities, so your child can gain confidence in their ability to communicate effectively and develop lifelong habits for holistic well-being.

We encourage creativity through storytelling, music, drama, and art, empowering your child to unleash their imagination and express themselves authentically, both collaboratively and independently. Our focus on literature supports the development of communication and language skills, which promotes storytelling and imaginative dialogue. At Fennies, we embrace investigation based learning, nurture curiosity and are passionate for discovery across the seven areas of learning. Through STEM and art, your child will enquire, investigate, and experiment. Honing their critical thinking, risk-taking, and problem-solving abilities.

We celebrate diversity and promote cultural understanding through exposure to languages and the celebration of different cultures. We create respectful and inclusive learning environments where children can appreciate and learn from diverse perspectives and backgrounds. We instil a sense of responsibility for the environment and inspire sustainable practices through experiential learning about nature, encouraging children and families to take action to protect the planet.
