Fennies Maidenhead opened its doors in 2026 and has been thoughtfully designed to support children through every stage of their Early Years journey. Bright, spacious rooms create a calm yet engaging atmosphere where children are encouraged to explore and grow in confidence.

Conveniently located for local families and commuters alike, the nursery is only a 4-minute drive from Maidenhead Train Station, and offers a welcoming and accessible setting for workers, parents and children. Drop-offs and pick-ups feel smooth with our on-site Buggy Shed, making arrivals and departures feel smooth, even on those busier days.

Meet The Team

Amy (Nursery Manager)

Amy brings over 20 years of Early Years experience into her role, using her knowledge and passion to create a warm and engaging environment where children can flourish. Having grown up locally, she understands the needs of Maidenhead families and enjoys building strong relationships with parents and the wider community, helping everyone feel welcomed and supported throughout their nursery journey. Throughout her career, Amy has been passionate about supporting team members through apprenticeships and professional development opportunities, helping nurture a highly skilled Early Years workforce. Looking ahead, she remains committed to creating a nurturing environment where families, children and educators can continue to grow, develop and thrive together.

The Education Team

Paula (Regional SENCO And Inclusion Manager)

Paula plays an integral role in offering support to children with additional needs or those learning English as an Additional Language (EAL). She plays a key role in enhancing our team’s understanding of both SENCO and EAL empowering us to provide the best possible care. 

Ruth (Education Advisor)

Ruth is pivotal in motivating our teams to create engaging and stimulating environments for our children. She is a strong advocate for our initiatives like our ‘Book of the Month’ and our recently introduced ‘Music and Movement’ campaign. Music-based activities are essential to our curriculum due to their profound impact on brain and emotional development, along with its benefits on children’s holistic well-being during their Early Years.

Majka (Art Specialist)

Majka frequently visits all of our nurseries, including our South Croydon nursery, to guide the children in learning through art. Each month, she introduces an ‘Artist of the Month’, encouraging children to explore various art activities inspired by that artist’s works. 

Recruitment At Fennies

At Fennies Maidenhead, we have a thorough recruitment process to ensure every educator that joins the team shares our commitment to high-quality Early Years education.

‍Safeguarding and wellbeing remain central to our onboarding process, with every new member of the team receiving a detailed induction alongside paediatric first aid training. This helps us create and maintain a safe and supportive environment for every child in our care.

Explore The Nursery

Our Maidenhead nursery has been carefully created to support children’s learning and independence through engaging environments and thoughtfully planned spaces.

Inside, each room encourages curiosity and exploration through age-appropriate resources and inviting learning opportunities. Cosy corners are also incorporated throughout the nursery, helping the children express their emotions safely and feel secure throughout the day.

Outside, children benefit from access to a stimulating garden environment where outdoor play forms an important part of daily learning experiences. 

Explorers Room (3 Months - 18 Months)

The Explorers Room at Maidenhead provides a calm and nurturing environment where babies can feel safe while beginning to explore the world around them. Educators support children through consistent routines, sensory experiences and responsive care that helps build strong emotional connections. With a 1:3 staff-to-child ratio, babies receive individual attention throughout the day, helping support their physical development, communication and early curiosity.

Discoverers Room (18 Months - 24 Months)

The Discoverers Room supports toddlers as they grow in confidence and independence. Children are encouraged to explore activities that reflect their interests while developing communication, social and physical skills. Structured routines help children feel reassured throughout the day, while free-flow access to outdoor spaces allows them to continue learning through active play and exploration. With a 1:3 staff-to-child ratio, children benefit from focused support and guidance during this important stage of development.

Creators Room (2 Years - 3 Years)

In the Creators Room, children begin developing stronger independence, confidence and early friendships. Activities encourage imaginative play, communication and creativity while supporting early problem-solving and language development. Children are encouraged to take pride in small responsibilities throughout the day, helping build confidence and independence in a supportive environment. With a 1:5 staff-to-child ratio, educators are always available to provide individual support and encouragement.

Inventors Room (3 Years - 5 Years)

The Inventors Room helps prepare children for their transition to school through engaging learning experiences focused on confidence, curiosity and independence. Children explore literacy, numeracy and STEM activities through hands-on learning opportunities designed to encourage critical thinking and creativity. With a 1:8 staff-to-child ratio, children receive focused support while developing the confidence to explore, collaborate and learn independently.

Garden

Outdoor learning plays an important role at Fennies Maidenhead. The garden space encourages children to stay active, explore nature and develop physical confidence while enjoying fresh air and movement throughout the day. Children use the outdoor environment to build coordination, imagination and social skills through a variety of engaging experiences.

Dedicated Studio Space

One of the highlights at Fennies Maidenhead is the dedicated studio space. This thoughtfully designed area gives children opportunities to explore creativity through hands-on experiences such as cooking or art, that support their learning and development. Whether taking part in sensory play, imaginative experiences or practical activities, children are encouraged to build confidence, strengthen fine motor skills and discover new interests in a fun and engaging environment.

Children are encouraged to develop good hygiene habits through regular handwashing routines, while dedicated housekeepers complete thorough cleaning every evening alongside regular deep cleans every quarter.

Fresh and nutritious meals are prepared daily by our in-house kitchen team, supporting children’s wellbeing and development throughout the day. Our menus are accredited by the Early Years Alliance (EYA) and designed around seasonal ingredients, ensuring we always cater to children’s dietary requirements and preferences.
