Choosing a nursery for your child instead of a childminder brings numerous benefits. With a higher number of children, your little one will have more opportunities for social interaction, opening doors to diverse backgrounds and different cultures. Did you know that children learn so much from their peers? By interacting and conversing with a larger group, their learning opportunities increase exponentially. Small groups with only 1 or 2 childminders cannot prepare children for the transition to a bustling school classroom of up to 26 children. At Fennies Eltham, Westmount Road, we prepare them for success! Our nurturing nurseries follow a well-structured routine that provides stability while giving children the freedom to choose from a variety of experiences. They'll thrive in an environment that nurtures their sense of stability and allows them to explore their interests in between activities. It's about fostering their individuality! Unlike childminders who operate from their homes, Fennies Eltham, Westmount Road offers spacious facilities and a wide variety of resources. This ensures engagement in learning, especially when they spend full days, five days a week with us.
At Fennies Eltham, Westmount Road, we understand that transitioning between rooms can be a significant change for children. To ease this process, we have a structured transition program that includes regular communication with our parents. Our educators work closely with children to support their emotional well-being and help them feel comfortable in their new environment.
We follow strict protocols at Fennies Eltham, Westmount Road to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, providing a safe and healthy environment for little ones (and our team). We have 2 housekeepers at each site every evening to ensure our facilities remain spotless.
There are multiple reasons we don’t offer half-day services at Fennies Eltham, Westmount Road. One key reason is that children tend to find it harder to settle if they only attend for part of the day, which can affect their readiness for preschool. If children were to only attend part of the day, they may miss out on crucial aspects of the curriculum, as our routines are designed to provide a holistic learning experience with various activities scheduled throughout the day. Additionally, if parents were to come in to collect their children halfway through the day, it could unsettle and upset the other children who remain. However, we understand the need for flexibility, so early morning drop-offs and evening pick-ups are available to best accommodate your needs.
Our baby room at Fennies Eltham, Westmount Road offers a sensory experience for the children to enjoy. Our sensory environments are designed to be age-appropriate, immersing children in a setting that sparks their natural curiosity and fosters exploration of movement and communication.
Yes! Fennies Eltham, Westmount Road has an amazing garden that spans across the whole nursery, giving every room free-flow access and enabling children to seamlessly transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. We place great value on the advantages of outdoor learning. It provides a canvas for their imaginations to soar and nurtures their mental well-being by offering a refreshing escape, channels their boundless energy into active play, and plays a pivotal role in their physical development.
