Your journey

As an Early Years Educator (Level 2), you’ll encourage your key children and build bonds with them and their families every day. You’ll assist with the routines in your room, whether that be naptimes, mealtimes or creative activities. You’ll create and contribute to the implementation of curriculum-based activities. You’ll track and assess the development of your key children whilst ensuring the families stay informed of daily activities. At Fennies, you’ll be supported to take the next steps in your journey and become your best self.

· Building caring relationships with children, families and your team 

· Creating a fun and engaging learning environment by showing initiative and imagination that inspires those around you 

· Succeeding as a team and with children and parents by effectively communicating and giving feedback 

· Providing a consistent and reliable atmosphere for your key children to aid their development and build trust

· Communicating and giving feedback to parents during handovers and through documented development reports

 

What you know:

· A sound understanding of the patterns of development from birth to 5  

· A level 2 qualification in Childcare and good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum  

· Have a minimum grade 4 or grade C in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)

· The best practice for key person system, safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality    

· How to safely administer First Aid (training provided for free through Fennies)
