If you have childcare experience, you may be considered for the Nursery Practitioner role. You’ll understand the importance of nurturing each child and appreciate their differences. You may also need the relevant qualifications.
How many hours a week you work will depend on your job role. To get more information on the expected hours of work contact recruitment@fennies.com.
Fennies’ standard day is from the hours of 7:45 am – 6 pm. Fennies also offer extra sessions if parents require longer hours, and it is important that the rooms are set up correctly before the children arrive. So, you may be required to work any time within these hours depending on the needs of your setting.
Fennies is only open in the week, Monday to Friday. However, depending on your role you may be required to work occasional weekends. To get more information on the expected days of the week you’ll work contact recruitment@fennies.com.
- Under 2’s = 1:3 - For every 3 children, there is 1 member of staff- 2-3’s = 1:5
- For every 5 children, there is 1 member of staff- 3+ - 1:8
- For every 8 children, there is 1 member of staff
To register your child with Fennies, we must receive the following 4 items:
- Completed registration form.
- Signed terms and conditions.
- £500 deposit and registration fee.
- The place will be held for 3 working days at which time all sections of the registration must be completed.
All employees also receive a discount on nursery places for their children. This benefit helps families manage childcare costs while feeling confident that their children are receiving exceptional Early Years education and care within our nurturing environments.
We are open 51 weeks of the year. Fennies is closed on Bank Holidays and for 3 days between Christmas and New Year.
Fennies’ educators undergo a comprehensive two-day induction with essential training, including paediatric first aid certification. Beyond this, we invest in their ongoing development through role-specific training, one-to-one coaching, and career growth programs, ensuring our teams are equipped to deliver exceptional care and learning experiences.
Our founding family plays an active role in the daily operations of Fennies, ensuring a high level of commitment, responsibility, and accountability. This personal involvement is reflected in everything we do, from our curriculum to the ongoing support for our dedicated teams. Our goal is to help every child thrive, preparing them for school and creating a positive, enriching environment.
Each Fennies nursery is conveniently located near public transport links and/or car parks. Whether you're walking, driving or using public transport, our facilities are designed to make your journey as seamless as possible.
