Fennies Raynes Park, Amity Grove brings together our curriculum and pedagogical approach with our Fennies Inspire enhancements. We have a team of specialist educators who lead these sessions to enrich the experiences we create for children, embedding both the EYFS Statutory Framework and supported by the Birth to 5 Matters Guidance. It goes without saying how beneficial it is to have this incredible team working alongside, upskilling, and inspiring our children and Early Years Educators. Our Inspire enhancements are carefully designed not only to promote language skills but also to foster creativity and instil key life skills, including problem-solving and emotional intelligence. These experiences are key to closing achievement gaps and ensuring that all children have an equal chance to succeed in school and later life.
Language development is a key focus at Fennies Raynes Park, Amity Grove. Our educators use a variety of techniques, including storytelling, songs, and interactive play, to enhance children's communication skills. We also provide a rich language environment, filled with books and conversations that encourage children to express themselves and engage in meaningful dialogue.
At Fennies Raynes Park, Amity Grove, our curriculum is designed to do more than educate — it inspires. Led by an expert team, we focus on nurturing a lifelong love for learning by engaging young minds through diverse experiences in STEM, Art, and PE. Our approach is centred on each child’s interests and abilities, challenging them to reach new heights while building confidence.
We worked alongside Dr. Sam Wass on the designs we use for the walls at our nurseries. At Fennies Raynes Park, Amity Grove, we believe that children require calm and beautiful places where they can focus on enjoying learning and playing. Hence, all our nurseries are created with bright and spacious environments. White walls are used within these environments to provide a neutral background that enhances focus and reduces any visual distractions the children could experience. If the walls were to contain designs, it could lead to overstimulating the children, which could in turn, hinder their ability to focus on learning.
At Fennies Raynes Park, Amity Grove, we strictly adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, which dictates the staff-to-child ratios. For children under two, the ratio is 1:3, for two-year-olds, it's 1:5, and for children aged three and over, it's 1:8. These ratios help ensure that each child receives attentive, high-quality care and education.
Fennies Raynes Park, Amity Grove is committed to providing an inclusive environment where all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, can thrive. Our experienced team works closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to create personalised support plans. We ensure that all children have access to the full curriculum and can participate in nursery activities to the best of their abilities.
The number of trips we offer at Fennies Raynes Park, Amity Grove depends on various factors such as weather and what the children have been learning. The trips are designed to support and enhance their learning. In the past, trips have included visits to the fire station, local farms, libraries, and local shops.
Settling-in sessions at Fennies Raynes Park, Amity Grove allow the children and parents to be introduced to the nursery and team. It starts with you liaising with the admissions team to provide all the necessary details, and then the Nursery Manager can help organise the first settle based on your proposed start date. On this day, the parent and child will attend for a short visit, with the parent remaining onsite while the child gets familiar with their surroundings and people. This allows the transition period to be as smooth as possible, helping your child build initial bonds within the room. The settling-in period is free of charge and generally takes one week, but can be extended to two weeks if deemed necessary.
We welcome all children from 3 months to 5 years. Our nursery is designed to provide a nurturing and engaging environment for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring that each child's developmental needs are met at every stage.
You can find us at 9 Amity Grove, Raynes Park, London, SW20 0LQ. Our enchanting nursery is a 2-minute walk away from Raynes Park train station.
