Steven founded Fennies 30 years ago alongside his wife Sarah and has spent most of his career building several companies within the Technology sector. Having sold his last Technology company in 2017, he joined Fennies full time as CEO and has worked on the acquisition and development of new sites for the company. Outside of work Steven enjoys fitness and recently completed the London to Paris ride for the third time.
Dane joined Fennies in May 2018 as Head of Commercial having spent 16 years in Senior Management roles in the Education, Travel and Hospitality industries. After studying Sociology at Royal Holloway, Dane went on to study Acting and Musical Theatre at LAMDA, where he continues his love of the arts with involvement in local and fringe theatre, as an Actor, Writer and Director. Dane also has an active interest in fitness and is a qualified Personal Trainer.
Shanti joined Fennies in September 2019 with over 20 years’ experience in the Early Years sector. Shanti previously trained as a teacher before working as an Early Years Advisor for 3 different Local Authorities. Her key achievements include being part of the SMT manging the Ofsted contract for all Early Years providers in the North and the Midlands, as well as supporting over 4000 providers to improve their quality of care and Early Years education.
Kirstie Joined Fennies in April 2015 as Head of Talent Acquisition. Although being a Fashion graduate, Kirstie’s has had years of experience within the Recruitment industry. Kirstie also looks after our HR department and develops the teams personal and professional development and looks for talent within the business ready for new opportunities. You may recognise Kirstie’s 6-year-old daughter from our marketing material. Now at school, Harper had 4 amazing years at our Epsom setting.
A qualified accountant with a BSc in Information Technology and Computing, Russell joined Fennies in January 2018 as Financial Controller. He brings 30 years of experience with him, gained in both practice and industry from across a variety of sectors.
Bradley Joined Fennies during the Summer of 2019 and has an undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from The University of Nottingham, having studied in both the UK and China. As our Acquisitions Manager, Bradley seeks out the perfect sites and locations for future Fennies Nurseries. Outside of work he loves taking part in sport and listening to music.
Rageena joined Fennies in February 2020 as part of the Quality and Education team. She is Level 6 qualified and has always loved working with children. Rageena has over 11 years’ experience working in nursery settings and before this she spent time abroad teaching children English as an additional language.
Ayse joined the team as Marketing Manager in June 2018 and brings with her 10 years’ worth of marketing experience from industries such as Grocery, Retail and Travel. With transferable skills across the full marketing mix Ayse supports all areas of the business from a strategic and analytical stance. When not at work you will find Ayse exploring new places with her Miniature Dachshund and family.
Pascal joined the team as Project Manager in January 2018 and has overseen the construction of both our Wimbledon and Oxted nurseries whilst maintaining and refurnishing the existing nurseries. Pascal has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Masters degree in Quantity Surveying. He enjoys playing sport and exploring in his spare time.
Jeff joined Fennies in December 2017 and brought with him experience in Catering, which was gained after spending 22 years in the army. Subsequently Jeff later took on the role as Facilities Manager and enjoys the day to day challenges that come with the job. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys traveling and prior to joining Fennies he spent 6 years in Malaysia and traveling around Asia.
Terrie joined Fennies in 2006 and has over 30 years accounts experience in Sales, Purchase and Management of Accounts. Terrie is also responsible for the Early Years funding grant allocation and claims. Outside of work Terrie enjoys spending time with her two young grandchildren and long walks with her dog Max.
Caroline joined the Fennies recruitment team in November 2018 and brought with her over 15 years’ experience from a cross section of markets. Caroline started her career in the finance and banking sector before moving into shipping and recruiting on an international scale. Caroline enjoys finding the very best talent for Fennies and contributing to the company’s growth. Outside of work Caroline enjoys cooking and socialising.
Maggie has worked for Fennies for 2 years, supporting the recruitment over 11 sites. Maggie previously worked as part of inhouse recruitment teams for companies such as UGG. Whilst supporting staff within their new role, Maggie also works closely with the Nursery Managers looking at promotional opportunities of the staff. Traveling is her spare time; Maggie is an influencer on Instagram. She has recently been to Myanmar, Bali and Egypt.
Elize joined the team as the Payroll Manager at Fennies in July 2019. She has 20 years of experience within the Finance Industry and an Honours Degree in Strategic Management focusing in Accounts and Payroll. Elize enjoys traveling and recently had the opportunity to live in the Middle East for two years.
Grace joined Fennies in 2015 as a Business Administrator but moved to the accounts team in 2017. Grace studied level 1, 2 and 3 of Bookkeeping at Sutton College after gaining a real interest in accounting and wanting to further her knowledge. Outside of work Grace enjoys beauty and spending time with her two nephews.
Marta has been with us since February 2020. She joined Fennies with over 10 years administration experience and is currently studying towards her AAT qualifications. She provides support to our Financial Team and assists parents across all our nurseries. In her free time, Marta enjoys cooking, playing badminton and hiking. She is also passionate about music and art.
Sam joined Fennies in March 2020 as an Accounts Assistant and has worked in accounts for 6 years. She is also AAT level 3 qualified. In her spare time, she likes to surround herself with family and friends. Sam loves to take her children on days out and create lasting memories together.
Elaine Joined the Marketing team in April 2019 and brought with her experience in social media and account management. With a degree in Media Arts, Elaine enjoys design and brings a creative flare to the team. Before working full time, Elaine enjoyed traveling and spent two months exploring America and Australia.
Olivia joined the marketing team in August 2019 with a keen interest to pursue a career in Marketing. Olivia has experience in Visual Merchandising, Customer Service and a degree in Fashion Journalism and enjoys implementing creativity within her written skills. Outside of work, Olivia likes to surround herself with family and friends and enjoys cooking, travelling and reading.
Amy joined the Fennies team in January 2020, bringing with her over 7 years of customer service experience. With a degree in Theatre Arts, Amy enjoys being creative by experimenting with Make-up and Face painting. Amy also loves spending time watching films and eating out with her husband.
Bebe joined Fennies 18 years ago as a chef for 4 nurseries. 18 months later she moved to our Christchurch nursery in Purley and later became our Head chef. Bebe now looks after implementing our delicious menus across all 11 of our nurseries, making sure they are nutritious and healthy and in line with the Early Years Nutrition Partnership. Bebe is married to our Facilities Manager Jeff and enjoys cooking and travelling in her spare time.
Mark joined the team in 2014 as the Fennies Delivery Driver. Mark has a wealth of experience in various job roles from managerial roles to previously being a driving instructor. In his spare time you will find Mark on the golf course or carrying out his passion for gardening.
Naomi joined Fennies in 2013 as one of our housekeepers. Since then Naomi has progressed to Head of Cleaning, she now overseas our team of housekeepers and ensures we deliver the highest standards of cleanliness across all of our locations.
