Explorers Rooms

At Fennies Ealing, we have our Explorers Room, carefully designed for our youngest children aged 3 to 18 months. At this stage, little ones are beginning to crawl, pull themselves up and explore the world around them, and our rooms are thoughtfully laid out to support this exciting physical development.

Our Explorers Room includes a calming sensory area, along with direct access to nappy changing facilities and milk kitchens for a smooth, responsive care routine

With a 1:3 team ratio, our babies receive nurturing, one-to-one attention and form strong, secure bonds with their key person, laying the foundation for confident development. The passionate educators at Fennies Ealing work hand-in-hand with our central education team to bring our shared values to life and create an environment where children truly thrive.

Now, let’s introduce you to the wonderful team members who make all of this possible…

The Management Team

Tracy (Nursery Manager)

Tracy’s passion for giving back shines through in everything she does, both inside and outside of the nursery. Alongside her partner, she rescues dogs and cats, highlighting her nurturing nature and commitment to providing opportunities for others. Within the setting, Tracy is deeply engaged with the local community, organising initiatives such as food bank collections to support families in need. One of the highlights of her Early Years career has been contributing to a published book, where she shared how she introduced ‘Worry Monsters’ to help children express their emotions and develop emotional resilience. Tracy’s ambition is simple but powerful, to ensure that every child leaves the nursery feeling confident, emotionally secure and ready for the next chapter of their journey.

Steph (Deputy Manager)

Steph brings a vibrant energy to the nursery, quite literally! Known for experimenting with almost every hair colour imaginable, she’s become a favourite among the children, who love using their colour-based vocabulary to describe her ever-changing look. Steph is passionate about building strong connections with families, regularly sharing joyful moments via the Famly app and organising events that bring parents into the heart of nursery life. One of her greatest joys in her Early Years journey is watching children progress from Explorers to Inventors, celebrating each magical milestone along the way. With a creative flair for play, Steph is on a mission to encourage more open-ended, imaginative experiences, moving away from traditional toys and embracing everyday objects to spark children’s curiosity and creativity.

The Education Team

Paula (Regional SENCO And Inclusion Manager)

Paula plays an integral role in offering support to children with additional needs or those learning English as an Additional Language (EAL). She plays a key role in enhancing our team’s understanding of both SENCO and EAL empowering us to provide the best possible care. Paula offers plenty of support to our Ealing nursery, working with children from various backgrounds and cultures and providing pivotal support for their EAL needs. If you’re interested in discovering more about inclusivity at Fennies, or even want to share your unique story, join us at our upcoming Open Morning ‘Our World, Our Story’ on Saturday 10th May which is a celebration of all the diverse backgrounds and cultures that make up the Fennies Family.

Ruth (Education Advisor)

Ruth is pivotal in motivating our teams to create engaging and stimulating environments for our children. She is a strong advocate for our initiatives like our ‘Book of the Month’ and our recently introduced Music and Movement’ campaign. Music-based activities are essential to our curriculum due to their profound impact on brain and emotional development, along with its benefits on children’s holistic well-being during their Early Years. Ruth recently visited Fennies Ealing to provide a variety of music-based activities that helped the children foster good listening skills and improve their fine motor development.

Majka (Art Specialist)

Majka frequently visits all of our nurseries, including our Ealing nursery, to guide the children in learning through art. Each month, she introduces an Artist of the Month, encouraging children to explore various art activities inspired by that artist’s works. The children at Fennies Ealing, Junction Road had an incredible time celebrating Holi, the vibrant Hindu festival of colours! Through playful exploration with colour and music, the children learned about the cultural significance of Holi, a joyful celebration of love, unity and new beginnings through the beauty of art.

Education at Fennies

At our Ealing nursery, we recognise that the first five years of a child’s life are the most formative. To ensure we’re always delivering the highest standard of care and education, we conduct quarterly quality audits. These are carried out by our Regional Managers in collaboration with Rageena, our Director of Early Years, to maintain consistency and excellence across all of our nurseries.

Specialist Education

Our Specialist Education Team, which includes a SENDCO Specialist, Art Specialist and Education Advisor, is instrumental in enhancing children’s learning experiences. They lead exciting initiatives such as ‘Book of the Month’, promoting early literacy and storytelling, and ‘Artist of the Month’, where children explore creative techniques and learn about different cultures. To encourage a love of reading beyond the nursery, our Lending Library offers a wide range of books for families to borrow and enjoy at home. Children also take part in regular community trips, like visits to the local library or nature walks, bringing learning to life outside the classroom.

Parent App

With the Famly App, staying connected with your child’s day is easy and reassuring.
